By now you've heard that the three remaining so-called "Christian" peacemakers were rescued by our brave soldiers along with the equally brave Iraqi military. I'm sure you've also heard about the press release from the Christian Peacemakers' organization blaming the soldiers for the kidnapping. Here's the real story about the rescue (it was not a "release" as the media would have us believe)...
"Three Christian peace activists held hostage since late November were rescued at approximately 8 a.m. this morning in downtown Baghdad by Coalition Forces, according to the Multi-National Force – Iraq spokesman. Maj. Gen. Rick Lynch said Canadians James Loney, 41, and Harmeet Singh Sooden, 32, and Briton Norman Kember, 74, were in good condition and have received medical evaluations.
The operation was carried out by Coalition troops, Lynch said. “We detained two suspects this morning, the detainees gave us intelligence that led us to the rescue of the three hostages,” Lynch said during an afternoon press conference. The hostages were rescued only three hours after Coalition Forces received the intelligence, Lynch said. In that time, the troops determined the intelligence was credible then planned and executed the mission, he added.
Lynch would not go into great detail because he did want to reveal any information that might jeopardize future rescues."
Frankly I am sick of people that put themselves in harm's way and use peace as a justification for endangering our soldiers. This should prove to the whacked out peaceniks that our soldiers are brave and heroic. If I was one of the soldiers, I would have left the sorry assed peace freaks to rot in the hot Iraqi sun. These very same people that are alive and free right now thanks to the military were adopting Iraqi detainees not so very long ago. If anyone is to blame for the insurgency, it's stupid fools like these. Appeasement and blaming America does nothing more than embolden the terrorists. If you are stupid enough to support murdering terrorists over the US military, then you deserve everything that you get. Frankly you are not worth spit. Go back to your terrorist buddies and give up the freedoms our soldiers have fought and died for. You don't deserve the benefits of living in a free country.
Mark my words - since the "kidnappers" didn't hit the payola jackpot, Jill Carroll will be "miraculously" rescued within the next few days. She'll be left alone at some desolate house and a captured insurgent will offer a tip as to her location. I just pray that none of our soldiers are killed or injured trying to save her sorry butt.
