Untold Facts from Iraq

To date, the Central Criminal Court of Iraq has held 954 trials of insurgents suspected of anti-Iraqi and anti-Coalition activities threatening the security of Iraq and targeting MNF-I. These proceedings have resulted in 858 individual convictions with sentences ranging up to 30 years imprisonment.

TAJI, Iraq – Iraqi Army marksmen, supported by Soldiers from Multi-National Division – Baghdad, killed five terrorists emplacing roadside bombs north of Taji at approximately 6 p.m. March 9. The combined efforts of Iraqi and Coalition troops recovered two 130 mm artillery rounds and one AK-47 rifle from the terrorists attempting to emplace the road-side bombs.
