Washington Post Disses Joe Wilson

In one of the most hypocritical pieces I have ever seen, the Washington Post literally washed its hands of Joe "Liar Liar Pants on fire" Wilson and the fake Plame affair. In the editorial, End of the Affair, the editorial staff started out with this little whopper...

"WE'RE RELUCTANT to return to the subject of former CIA employee Valerie Plame because of our oft-stated belief that far too much attention and debate in Washington has been devoted to her story and that of her husband, former ambassador Joseph C. Wilson IV, over the past three years."

Reluctant my ass. The WaPo is trying to avoid taking responsibility for their OWN part in the Plame debacle. I did a search on WaPo. There were 512 hits on the name "Plame" in the WaPo. Walter Pincus, Dana Milbank and others had no problem throwing poison darts at the entire Bush Administration while they kissed the feet of Joe Wilson. They lapped up his story like a bunch of sniveling lapdogs begging for more while panting "get Bush, get Cheney".

Now that they are forced to admit that Joe Wilson is nothing more than a big fat liar who played them like a fiddle, their darts are sheathed and the silence is deafening. This entire ridiculous "affair" was driven by a willing and complicit media. So to claim "reluctance" about writing the final chapter of the liar extraordinare is disingenuous and disgusting.

As one would expect, the WAPO still couldn't resist getting a few more "Libby", "Rove", "Cheney" digs, despite the fact that NONE of it had anything to do with the Plame Case...

"That's not to say that Mr. Libby and other White House officials are blameless. As prosecutor Patrick J. Fitzgerald has reported, when Mr. Wilson charged that intelligence about Iraq had been twisted to make a case for war, Mr. Libby and Mr. Cheney reacted by inquiring about Ms. Plame's role in recommending Mr. Wilson for a CIA-sponsored trip to Niger, where he investigated reports that Iraq had sought to purchase uranium. Mr. Libby then allegedly disclosed Ms. Plame's identity to journalists and lied to a grand jury when he said he had learned of her identity from one of those reporters. Mr. Libby and his boss, Mr. Cheney, were trying to discredit Mr. Wilson; if Mr. Fitzgerald's account is correct, they were careless about handling information that was classified."

Since when did "careless handling of classified information" become an issue to the Washington Post? And while we're at it, why are the charges against Libby even proceeding forward? Fitzgerald all but admitted that he knew who the leaker was. So was this another one of those "get Bush" at all costs projects using taxpayer money?

One thing I did like was the snipe the WaPo took at Joe Wilson...

"Nevertheless, it now appears that the person most responsible for the end of Ms. Plame's CIA career is Mr. Wilson. Mr. Wilson chose to go public with an explosive charge, claiming -- falsely, as it turned out -- that he had debunked reports of Iraqi uranium-shopping in Niger and that his report had circulated to senior administration officials."

Did they just ADMIT that Wilson's claims regarding the Yellowcake were a LIE? Uh- oh - this is gonna be bad...

"He diverted responsibility from himself and his false charges by claiming that President Bush's closest aides had engaged in an illegal conspiracy. It's unfortunate that so many people took him seriously."

It's more than "unfortunate" - it is a tragedy and a damn crime. How much damage did this whole pile of crap do to our country? You could say the word "Plame" in Timbuktu and everyone would know what you were talking about. Wilson and his lying entourage, including Larry Johnson, went around the world spreading the lies and hate. John "impeachment" Conyers wanted the President hung from the highest tree because of this "treason".

Good men have been damaged by the lies told by Joe Wilson and perpetuated by the media. Good people have had their reputations tarnished and their lives thrown in turmoil. Our President and Vice President have been subjected to some of the most vile and nasty comments (a lot of them from Wilson himself) by a known liar and his comrades. There was NO reason for this to happen.

Has ANYONE heard or read an apology to the President, the members of his administration? You got Jason Leopold STILL writing about Rove and Libby's guilt (he's gonna continue for 24 business hours). Not one person has confronted Armitage or Colin Powell for their part in this crap. Has anyone even seen Joe and Val?

One thing about it, at least Joe can't go running to the Washington Post for positive coverage now. Or at least for another week...

I ain't done with the Joe Wilson Liars Club yet - there will be more to come this weekend.
