The War Against Our Children - My latest article

With all the outing and FoleyGate craziness, I forgot to post my latest article that was published over at OpinionEditorials this week. It's short but to the point so I'll post the whole thing here.

The War Against Our Children...
My heart is broken. As a mother, grandmother and a human being, the violence directed at our children sickens me. Children massacred in their classrooms to fulfill a perverted fantasy? Standing up for terrorists while pushing a deviant lifestyle? Murdering babies for convenience’s sake? Committing criminal acts involving children but your bad childhood excuses it? Sympathy for mothers killing their children in cold blood? Much of the debauchery has been endorsed, encouraged and excused. Why? What has happened to our country? Where do we go from here? How can we fix “us”?

The first step, in this one woman’s opinion, is to squash the political correctness. Start calling a spade a spade. Murder is murder. Pedophilia is a sick perversion not a mental illness that can be cured. A terrorist is not a freedom fighter. Marriage is between a man and a woman. A liar is a liar. Period. End of story.

Next, we must get the ACLU out of America. Stop giving our money to an organization that seeks to undermine the very Constitution they claim to protect. There is no rational reason for elementary school children to learn about “alternative lifestyles”. Special bathrooms for transgender high schoolers are not necessary. Anti-abstinence only initiatives have no place in today’s reality. Your bedroom doesn’t belong in public. Maybe if more people actually read and followed the Ten Commandments instead of protesting their display, some issues would no longer be issues.

Last but not least, I say start fighting back. If your child’s school system caves in to the “tolerance police”, take your kids out of the school. If your political leaders decide that politically correct is more expedient than holding to their values, hold the leaders accountable. If judges decide that excuses take precedent over punishment, let your voice be heard. Read your Bible in public. Teach your children the difference between right and wrong, good and evil. Give them the confidence to stand up for their beliefs even when it’s not popular. Lead by example. Vote with your values. Speak with your pocketbook.

It’s time to take our country back. Back from those that excuse morally repugnant behavior. Remove the power from those that could care less about the future and more about political opportunism. This is not the country that our Founding Fathers built for us. This is not the country that I want to leave for future generations. It’s time that we stood up and said No More! I’m standing – how about you?

As you can see I am vehemently against the ACLU. I encourage everyone to stop over at StoptheACLU.org and offer your support. I do a lot of work with Nedd and it is a fine organization. Always need volunteers and supporters! There are some big initiatives in the works as part of the fight against the ACLU and we could really use the help.
