Today was one of THOSE days - you know the kind where your mood matches the thunderstorm clouds. I felt like Ziggy with the dark cloud over my head all day. Coming across some of the news on the Internet only made things worse. So here is my rant for today...
Things That Piss Me Off
1. Sacrificing Marine heroes in order to pacify the angry mob demanding justice for terrorists and their sympathizers while a disgusting old goat who has pork oozing outta his ears gets a pass...
U.S. Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey R. Chessani and Lance Corporal Stephen B. Tatum will face general courts-martial for their roles in a controversial firefight following an al Qaeda-led insurgent ambush in Haditha, Iraq almost three years ago in which 24 Iraqi citizens died.
2. People that just can't get over themselves and those that enable them...
Plame says the morning her identity was made public in the column of conservative newspaper columnist Robert Novak, the world's intelligence services went to work.
"I can tell you all the intelligence services in the world that morning were running my name through their databases to see, did anyone by this name come in the country? When? Do we know anything about it? Where did she stay? Who did she see?" she tells Couric. "(The leak is) very serious. It puts in danger, if not shuts down, the operations that I had worked on."
3. The complete and utter degredation of any semblance of morality in our country...
The Portland school board on Wednesday approved a measure allowing middle-school students to gain access to prescription birth control medications without notifying parents.
4. Talking assholes on the floor of Congress...
Rep. Pete Stark (D.-California) is spewing again. During the recent SCHIP bill debate, which was rightfully vetoed by President Bush, Stark let go with another one of his rants. In the middle of his diatribe he screeched about funding the ”illegal” war but not spending money on children, and ‘kids’ sent to Iraq to “blow people up” and “get their heads blown off” for President Bush’s “amusement.”
5. Blogging about something that ends up being trumpeted around the Internet but without any credit to the original source...
