We got a great glimpse today of the track the DNC is taking on the nomination of Gov Sarah Palin for VP. The meme is now "McCain's knees buckled" and "Limbaugh did it". Case in point...
Chris Dodd...
Speaking to CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Sunday, Dodd called the selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin "the choice of Dobson, Robertson, and Limbaugh"-referring to Focus on the Family chairman James Dobson, televangelist Pat Robertson, and conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh.
"This is a real sop to the extreme conservative elements of the Republican Party. John McCain's knees buckled because he was fearful of what the extreme right was going to say about this ticket, that's what this comes down to," the former Democratic presidential candidate said on "Late Edition".
Tom Daschle...
"The choice is somewhat mystifying to me, Wolf. It's inexplicable. the only explanation to me is that he buckled, he knuckled under, to the extreme right-wing pressures that he was feeling these last several weeks."
John Kerry...
On ABC's "This Week", Senator John Kerry, D-Massachusetts, said that McCain wanted to choose former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge or independent Senator Joe Lieberman, but that "Rush Limbaugh and the right-wing vetoed it."
I find it completely laughable that the 3 idiots above think they have any right to pick who John McCain chooses for VP. Dodd - remind me how many votes you got in the Primary? Dodd's just afraid that with two reformers in the White House, his special mortgage deals may get more scrutiny. Daschle? Lost his senate seat to a newbie. Kerry? Two words - John Edwards.
What should a Republican Presidential nominee do? Should he go with someone that falls completely out of line with Republican values and ideals? Should he listen to three losers who have no fresh ideas and no chance in Hell of ever sitting in the big chair in the Oval Office? As far as who guides who - let's talk for a minute about The One's campaign who has knelt at the altar of George Soros and MoveOn so much their knees are scabbed over. And BTW the far left vetoed Hillary so who sopped up to who? Puh-leeze. Go sign your 180 John.
The more the bloviators cry about the selection of Gov Sarah Palin as the VP nominee, the more I believe that she is the right choice. You guys are just scared of having a woman in charge of the Senate and kicking your collective asses.
