Since GA was not considered a "swing state" during the election, we didn't get the influx of candidates and their surrogates during the election. But with the Saxby Chambliss vs Jim Martin run-off figuring so importantly in the final split in the Senate, GA is finally getting some attention.
Case in point, today Gov Sarah Palin will be holding rallies across the state of GA for Chambliss - she's even making a stop in Savannah! I would be thrilled and standing in line waiting to get in to see/hear her but I have to work and can't take the time off right now... If my Dad is feeling better, he's going to take a shot at getting in and send me an "after action" report.
Jim Martin has some big names campaigning for him today too - Vulgar rapper Ludicris will be headlining a rally in the state Capital. Heh-Heh.
Those of you living in Ga, don't forget to vote tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if the BO supporters turn out in mass when their Savior isn't on the ticket. Since early voting was limited due to time constraints, the Dems haven't had 8 weeks to prime this pump. But they have been playing the "Chambliss compared Max Cleland to a terrorist" canard. And the koolaid swillers have been out in force in the Savannah Morning News Letters to the Editor page.
Will report back later if any news on the Palin visit...
