Our area lost a hero in Afghanistan last week - Sgt. Brock Chavers was killed by an IED while serving with the National Guard in Afghanistan. He was killed the very week that our country was obsessed with the death of Michael Jackson. But the Statesboro GA community didn't forget Sgt. Chavers. They lined the route from the airport to the funeral home to pay respects to this fallen hero.
