Poor Patrick Kennedy - he's got to be feeling a bit of heat now that he is not protected by his father in the Senate. Now he's calling Sen. Scott Brown a "joke" because the newly sworn in Senator wants to do what the people sent him to Washington DC to do.
"Brown's whole candidacy was shown to be a joke today when he was sworn in early in order to cast his first vote as an objection to Obama's appointment to the NLRB," Kennedy said Thursday."
Oh Boo-Freakin-Hoo... Brown wasn't exactly sworn in "early" - he was sworn in as soon as the election was validated. Frankly the stand-in Senator Kirk should have been shown the door the day after the election. He should not have been voting on ANY legislation after the Mass Special. THAT is what is a joke. Or better yet - that the Mass legislators took it upon themselves to change the law so the seat would remain safely in the hands of the Dems during the health care ram-job.
Forget the fact that Scott Brown's election was a message sent to Senate Dems with high urgency - do your job and listen to the people who put you in the "sacred" seat for a change. It was a message that Congress ignores the people at their own peril. It was a shout heard from the rooftops that we are mad as hell and we aren't going to take it anymore.
So when spoiled rich boys who get plum positions based only on their last name and the notoriousness of their sire start whining about fairness and people being a "joke", I just want to hurl all over my computer keyboard. May the next joke be on you Sen Patrick Kennedy in the form of a one-way ticket back home.
