Chapter III - Don't Love It - Gonna Leave It

There is not another country in the world like the United States of America. America is quite a country. It is an honor and a privilege to be an American. We have freedoms that those in other countries only dream about. We can choose our own jobs, pursue our own dreams and live our lives the way we see fit with minimal interference from the government. Of course, there are laws that must be obeyed but even criminals have it easier in the United States. Our country is strong but caring. We provide support, financially and physicially, to less fortunate countries. If there is a disaster anywhere in the world, the US cann be counted on to come to the rescue. Thomas Jefferson said it best - "How little do my countrymen know what precious blessings they are in possession of, and which no other people on earth enjoy."

Some American citizens do not hold their country in very high regard. No matter what happens America is always at fault. No matter how much assistance Uncle Sam provides to countries in need that is not enough. The best post-election example of this was following the devastating tsunami that ravaged India and Asia...
(snip)
"We spend billions to kill so I agree that spending millions to save lives appears stingy."

"We're too busy blowing things up and making people miserable."
(snip)

It is truly ironic that many despise what our country stands for and then wallow in the freedoms provided by our country. They are the first ones to yell "Usurping the Constitution" but seek to undermine the very same Constitution with socialist ideals.
(snip)

Many liberals see average Americans as stupid lazy bullies. Even though we are all Americans, liberals see themselves as rising above everyone else. They consider themselves "global citizens."
(snip)
"This country has become a giant pen of drooling idiots."

"Americans don't know our asses from a hole in the ground."

"Americans suck."
(snip)

To the anti-Bush wing of the country, the United States was no better than the terrorists that attacked us on Sept. 11, 2001.
(snip)
"Our leaders murdered our own people for political advantage in the 9/11 attacks."

"Americans are known as the worse murderers now and many seem pleased with the reputation."

"We kill little kids in other lands, so we can steal oil they would have sold us at market price."
(snip)

No longer did many liberals see America as the bright shining beacon on the hill. To them, America had evolved into a black hole in the moral consciousness of the world.
(snip)

"What this country is becoming here and abroad is something that can deserve my hatred."

"I have little doubt that Lady Liberty will continue to hike her skirt and point to her ass."

"This country needs to be f**ked and f**ked good if there is any chance of real change."

"I hate America. I despise what this nation has become."
(snip)

For many liberals, "Expatriation" became the word du jour...
(snip)

"America is done. It's over. May as well leave before the Storm Troopers come through."

"I am going to leave this God-forsaken country."

"I think nearly every day - there has got to be a better place to live."
