OK to depict Soldiers as Terrorists but Mohammed is Off Limits

Has anyone else noted the hypocrisy overload regarding the Danish cartoons? Our State Dept. said the following today:

"These cartoons are indeed offensive to the belief of Muslims," State Department spokesman Kurtis Cooper said in answer to a question. "We all fully recognize and respect freedom of the press and expression but it must be coupled with press responsibility. Inciting religious or ethnic hatreds in this manner is not acceptable."

What about all the crap that is called "art" that is offensive to Christians? The cross in cow urine, the depictions of Jesus resembling Osama - did the press go ga-ga about that? No- they are only concerned with making sure that we all respect the Muslim religion. Inciting religious or ethnic hatreds? What the Hell do you call a "jihad against infidels" or terrorists attacks against innocents in the name of Islam?

"We call for tolerance and respect for all communities for their religious beliefs and practices," he added.

We are required to treat the Quoran with more respect than is given to the Bible. We have to tiptoe around the Muslim community so we don't "insult" them. Who Cares? I certainly don't. When the Muslim community starts fighting back against Islamofascism, then we can worry about being tolerant or respectful. I am not a bigot or a racist - I am an American that is sick of kissing the ass of people that want to do us harm. We coddle the terrorists and demand that the prisoners at Gitmo get treated better than our soldiers defending our freedoms. We worry about offending people who do not bat an eye when innocents are beheaded or murdered. A little tough love is needed - not more "special treatment".

Major U.S. publications have not republished the cartoons, which include depictions of Mohammad as a terrorist.

Meanwhile putrid pieces of dog crap like Ted Rall are free to depict our soldiers as rapists, pedophiles, murderers, etc. Rall equates our President to a coke-addicted dictator. But now we have to be careful to not depict Mohmmad as a terrorist? Give me a freaking break. If the damned shoe fits, the Muslim community should be forced to wear it.
