Get Out the Flip Flops - He's Back!!!

John "flip flopper" Kerry is doing his best to prove that he is relevant. He gave a big speech at Fanueil (?)Hall yesterday. Here's a synopsis of his speech...

"Vietnam Veteran.... Three Purple Hearts... Swift Boat Vets are liars... Bush lied... I support the troops but they were war criminals in 'Nam... I wanna be President... Bush lied... Three Purple Hearts... Bush lied... Vietnam Veteran... Bush lied... I am relevant... Bush lied."

Today Kerry chimed in on the Mary "Sieve" McCarthy story...

"Here's my fundamental view of this, that you have somebody being fired from the CIA for allegedly telling the truth, and you have no one fired from the white house for revealing a CIA agent in order to support a lie. That underscores what's really wrong in Washington, DC here."

Kerry's actually right - his statement about the hypocrisy of CIA leaks IS what is wrong with Washington. You've got more people concerned with a CIA Agent that was not undercover than a CIA Agent jeopardizing our national security.

Kerry hasn't learned when to keep his mouth shut. He revives the flip-flopper label with his next comment...
"A CIA agent has the obligation to uphold the law and clearly leaking is against the law, and nobody should leak. I don't like leaking. But if you're leaking to tell the truth, Americans are going to look at that, at least mitigate or think about what are the consequences that you, you know, put on that person."

So - punishment for leaking depends on how bad the info hurts the Bush Administration. We should determine the REASON for the leak and that should determine the consequences.

Lastly Kerry dropped this little statement that will certainly come back to haunt him...
"You know, classification in Washington is a tool that is used to hide the truth from the American people."

You're right John - now sign the 180.

UPDATE: I completely overlooked the real reason that Kerry was defending McCarthy... She was a donor to his campaign!
