Supremes Put Justice on Hold for Murdered Police Officer

This case is really giving me a bad case of the "what the hell is wrong with our justice system" blues. Today the Supreme Court adjourned this session without deciding whether to hear the 5,000th appeal for convicted cop killer Troy Anthony Davis (aka RAH - "rough as hell"). Here's how CNN is reporting it (and of course that have a big old picture of the murdering thug - how come they never put a picture of the murder victim up in these stories?)

The U.S. Supreme Court delayed a decision on whether to accept an appeal from a Georgia death row inmate who has gained international support for his claims of innocence in the the murder of a Savannah police officer two decades ago.
The justices were scheduled to announce Monday whether they would take the case of Troy Davis, but no order was released. The court is expected to take up the matter again in September.

Of course the rabid anti-death penalty supporters just love this. They took this case up simply because they are against the death penalty and have a race angle that makes this play well in the media...

This delay is an indication that the Supreme Court is concerned by the gravity of Troy Davis' innocence claims," said Laura Moye, director of Amnesty International USA's Death Penalty Abolition Campaign. "We will continue to call on all authorities, including the Supreme Court, to finally hear the evidence that has motivated hundreds of thousands of people worldwide to raise their voices and demand justice."

Once again - lies, lies and more lies from the Davis Camp. Can't the media be bothered to actually find out the facts in these cases before they print all this crap? Is that too damned much to ask?

So the family of murdered Savannah police officer, Mark Allan MacPhail, must continue to play the waiting game for justice to be served. Ironic that by postponing a decision, the Supremes have ensured that Davis will be around to enjoy the 20th anniversary of MacPhail's murder. Disgusting just doesn't begin to describe how I am feeling...

If you want to know the facts about this case and not just the spin from the NAACP and Amnesty International, do a search for Troy Anthony Davis on my blog. You'll find lots of links to the FACTS!
