FINALLY - Some Ink About Murdered Police Office Mark MacPhail

What a blessed relief from the Savannah Morning News this AM. After pages and pages of racist rants and anti-death penalty propaganda put out by the NAACP, Amnesty International and others, the SMN published a beautiful editorial from Tom Barton about murdered Savannah Police Officer Mark MacPhail.

Here's a couple of snips...
Instead, as the 20th anniversary of the slaying of Officer Mark Allen MacPhail approaches - a month before the U.S. Supreme Court will consider Davis' latest appeal - it's appropriate to remember a man who has been shoved into the background, almost as a footnote to his own murder on Aug. 19, 1989.

He was a devoted husband and father of two.
He was a veteran who served six years in the U.S. Army.
He was a lawman who took the oath to protect and serve seriously.

Stop by SavannahNow and post a comment on this editorial - the only way we can get the TRUTH out is by speaking up.

Speaking of getting the truth out, Mark MacPhail Jr was on WTKS1290 this AM with Bill Edwards. Mark was only 7 weeks old when his father was murdered by Troy Anthony Davis. I'll keep looking for a link to the audio and post it as it becomes available.

WE ARE ALL MARK ALLAN MACPHAIL!
