Will Lieberman "Naderize" Lamont?

It has not even been 24 hours since the KOX invention, Ned Lamont, won the CT primary and the KOS kidz and DUmpers are out for Lieberman blood. Irony among irony, the Lamontettes are calling Lieberman a "back-stabber" who has "turned his back on his party." My how the worm can turn... Lieberman was the stabbee who had his party toss him out the door because he showed intellectual honesty and moral integrity by supporting the war in Iraq and the soldiers serving in the war on terror.

Wesley Clark - the wanna-be Presidential nominee- is telling Joe to quit his bid for the Senate as an Independent for "the good of the party"...
"I committed myself to supporting the Democratic nominee for the US Senate in Connecticut, and I ask you to do likewise. Because too much is at stake with our troubles abroad and at home, we cannot play games this Election Day. That's why I call on all loyal Democrats to join me in urging Senator Lieberman to drop his bid for the Senate as an Independent and endorse the duly nominated Democrat. We should thank him for his service and invite him to stay active, or even run again someday, but as a party we cannot let Joe Lieberman be this year's Ralph Nader."

Howard Dean also contributed to the call for Joe to quit...
"After his loss, Joe Lieberman announced his intention to run as an independent. That's the wrong thing to do. Ned Lamont won fair and square. We have a process, and those who participate in it should respect the outcome. Joe Lieberman should respect the Democratic voters' decision. He has to do what all of us who have lost an election have done: support the winner."

Lautenberg, Kerry and Boxer have all been in contact with Lamont according to Jane "I'm not a Lamont operative" Hamsher...
"Last night after Ned Lamont’s victory the Connecticut primary, the phone calls started pouring in from key Democrats offering their support. Frank Lautenberg, John Kerry and Barbara Boxer all called to congratulate Ned.Boxer actually offered to come to Connecticut and campaign for Ned. Considering her close relationship with Lieberman, that is quite a concession. It is certainly not a good harbinger for Joe’s indy run."

Lastly, Lamont's proud birth-mother, KOS hisself, is demanding that Harry Reid strip Lieberman of his committee seats because "now he's an independent"...

"Now, Lieberman wants to stab his allies and his party in the back. It won't be the first time.
Here's what we all need to do the next few days:
1. Push Harry Reid to strip Lieberman of all committee assignments.
2. Let people know what a sore loser Lieberman is.
3. Get all Democrats -- including Bill Clinton -- to publicly back Ned Lamont.
4. Get the Democratic interest groups who backed Lieberman to switch allegiances in the general."

My My My... the next few months are gonna be great! Imagine this... every time one of the Kossacks or DUmpers goes off on a vulgar tirade about Joe Lieberman, the world will see what kind of people are pulling Lamont's strings. Every photoshopped racist picture can be used to show the true side of the "new" democratic party. I imagine they will try to behave for a while, but you know it won't last - they can't help themselves.

In the meantime, pop some popcorn and break out the Diet Coke. Now the real campaigning begins...
