Man oh Man - Bill O'Reilly is not one of my favorites but damned if he didn't win my respect tonight.
First O'Reilly took on Ann Wright who is a rabid anti-American Ramsey Clark syncophant. Wright was on to discuss the British soldiers taken hostage by Iran since Wright presents herself as an expert on the Geneva Conventions. O'Reilly asked her a simple question about Iran's violation of Geneva Conventions regarding the treatment of the British hostages. In the blink of an eye Wright launched into her patented "Blame Bush" screed. You know the drill - WE started it by our treatment of the prisoners at Gitmo, etc so how can we sit in judgment of Iran's treatment...blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda.
After several attempts to pull Wright back into reality world, O'Reilly exploded. He let Wright have it with both barrels. When Wright continued to bloviate about how evil America is, O'Reilly cut her microphone. So there is Wright with her mouth moving but no sound coming out while O'Reilly filets her for all the world to see. Oh how rich it was...
THEN O'Reilly took on the Daily Kos and the Huffington Post for the disgusting "congratulations on your cancer" posts about Tony Snow. The rep for the Huffington Post tried to twist their nastiness into a debate about "free speech" and even verbally slapped at Michelle Malkin, who was the other guest for the segment. O'Reilly was obviously still hot about Ann Wright's diarrhea of the mouth and basically cut this guys' nuts off.
I will try to find a video because both segments are priceless and should be in any blogger's video vault. Thank you Bill O'Reilly for saying what so many of us have longed to say. Are you available for backbone lessons for the Republicans in Congress?
