Grape Jelly and Laughter

No matter what happens in this crazy world, there are some things that bring nothing but complete joy and happiness.

Take my little granddaughter Olivia for example. She is absolutely thrilled to eat the grape jelly off her toast this morning. It's the little things that mean so much - like curling up in the chair together to take a nap or a sticky grape jelly kiss.

It does not matter how bad things may seem, when Olivia brightens my doorstep, everything is joy and laughter. (She was born on June 8, 2004 - the day the G-8 Summit started here in Southeast Georgia - definitely has the beginnings of a political future... Conservative, of course)
