November Surprise Bites NYT in the Arse
Ya gotta love this... After trying to drop last minute bombshells to throw elections to the Left, the NYT thinks they have November Surprise 2006 nailed to the wall. So they report on the Iraqi documents that JVeritas and many others have been translating.
European diplomats said this week that some of those nuclear documents on the Web site were identical to the ones presented to the United Nations Security Council in late 2002, as America got ready to invade Iraq.
The NYT claims that the docs contained a veritable "cookbook" of how to build a nuclear bomb.
In Europe, a senior diplomat said atomic experts there had studied the nuclear documents on the Web site and judged their public release as potentially dangerous. “It’s a cookbook,” said the diplomat, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of his agency’s rules. “If you had this, it would short-circuit a lot of things.”
Not only that but the docs have disclosed the Iraqi recipe for Tabun and Sarin.
Some of the first posted documents dealt with Iraq’s program to make germ weapons, followed by a wave of papers on chemical arms.
Of course the NYT published this only as a service to their masters at the DNC. But I bet the DNC masters ain't too happy now...
The NYT's report on the docs essentially confirms just how dangerous Saddam Hussein and Iraq were. The docs contained enough info that other country's could use the info to develop their own weapons of mass destruction. But I thought that Saddam Hussein didn't have any resources to do that. I thought there was no reconstitution of the nuclear program. I thought there were no chemical weapons manufacturing going on over in Iraq. I thought the NYT told me that President Bush lied. Now they are proving that Saddam was a threat to the US and the world. Essentially the NYT just proved that President Bush was right! So the November surprise just turned and bit the NYT in the ass. Ya gotta laugh...
As one who has been a loyal follower of JVeritas and his translations, I knew that Saddam Hussein was rebuilding his nuclear program. I knew that Iraq had bypassed the UN controls and ordered massive quantities of chemicals to make into chemical WMD. I knew that Hamas was in Iraq and helping the "resistance". If anyone in the mainstream media had bothered to follow up on the translations, they would have known too.
Here are some of the posts about the documents that JVeritas over at FreeRepublic translated for anyone that wants to catch up...

BTW - the picture above is from 1976. That's Saddam Hussein (2nd from the left) and Jacques Chirac (far right) on a tour of a French Nuclear Reactor.
